Better Way Bible Church

HISTORY OF FOREIGN MISSIONS

Our purpose is to raise up and strengthen churches, specifically helping to rebuild a spiritual infrastructure after years of war and blight. In the mid 90’s, several Liberians were led by God to Better Way USA and the opportunity was presented to plant churches in Liberia. Word of Life Church in Monrovia participates in the community by ministering to the prison population, strengthening the Christian community and also leading many to the Lord.

Better Way USA helps to support a 150-population orphanage. Pastor Martin has conducted marriage and pastoral seminars, gospel campaigns as well as food and clothing distributions. He also provides apostolic oversight to churches in Monrovia and Todee. Whether in Liberia or Ghana, our purpose remains the same — to spread the gospel and set the captives free!

GHANA

The Opportunity

A Liberian minister attending Better Way USA, Rev. Reginald Lloyd, introduced Pastor Martin to Pastor Abraham Sayboe from Ghana. A series of talks ensued and Pastor Martin revealed his dream to plant a church in Ghana. A meeting on Ghanaian soil transpired with a group of people interested in the vision, and now there are two churches planted in Ghana, one in Winneba and another in Apprah Village - Goma District of Ghana.

Support

Better Way USA provides monthly financial support for both churches to assist in operations. Both churches are renting space until land is purchased to build a church edifice. Sound equipment was sent to Ghana as well as purchased in Ghana for both churches. Food and clothing are also distributed in Ghana.

Results

People are getting born again daily and the communities are bring strengthened. Healings abound and lives are being changed. Yearly seminars for local pastors and ministers are being held with pastors from many villages attending.

LIBERIA

The Opportunity

Several Liberian members of Better Way USA presented an opportunity for missions in Liberia, West Africa. Pastor Martin visited Liberia in 2005 and had a series of discussions with various men and women of God. In 2006, the first church was planted in Monrovia. In 2007, another church was planted in Thinker Village, and in 2008, a third church was planted in Todee.

Support

Better Way USA provides monetary support for Liberia to assist the building and operation of three churches, support for the pastors, aid for prisons, food for the orphanage and other assistance as needed. Better Way USA sent a jeep to Liberia with plans of sending more vehicles in the future.

Results

People are growing in Christ, being set free and delivered. Miracles are happening: healings are taking place, and the land is being built up. All this is happening because we submit to the Great Commission: “Go ye into all the world…”

Our goal is to send 2 jeeps to Africa over a period of two years. The cost for one vehicle averages $5,000.
